Municipal kindergartens in Pułtusk

Przedszkole Miejskie nº4 and nº5 are the municipal kindergartens of the Mazovian city of Pułtusk, that provide everyday care and education to more than 300 children from 3 to 6 years old. The kids are divided into groups of  15 to 30 pupils and are assisted by two teachers, which are responsible for the correct development of the core curriculum.

The four volunteers of SPW in Pułtusk (two per each kindergarten) help in organizing everyday activities and assist teachers but are also invited to take the initiative and promote the development of workshops, presentations and other activities thought to introduce their culture and language to the group. The kindergarten is open from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but the main activities take place from 9 AM to 3 PM, which are volunteers' working hours. During this time, they will be taking part in all kinds of activities, including excursions, outdoor activities and language classes. For this project, SPW asks volunteers to be patient, willing to work with children, creative and reliable. Having a "certificate of no criminal record" is required in order to work with children.
